Our History

Steve was 10 when his father started S&K Ready Mix in Kelowna, BC. At this early age, Steve was learning about concrete, mix designs and how to batch concrete into trucks.

1989

Not old enough to drive yet, Steve would hop on his peddle bike with tools in his back pack to fix a broken down concrete truck on the jobsite.

1992

Steve was eager to branch out on his own. He hired a part-time finisher and named his company "Steve's Concrete". (points for being original, Steve!)

Steve re-names his company S&K Forming Ltd. He knows the S&K name is rooted in the valley as a company that provides excellent service. His desire was to build his business on the same values.

A growing business and a booming economy bring a unique challenge and a question: How do you get your employees to show up for work on time?! The solution: Offer a brand new dirt bike at the year-end Christmas Party to the one person with a spotless record! Game on!

Up until this year, S&K Forming operated out of the ready mix location. More growth means more space needed! A piece of property is purchased on Findlay Rd. We renovate and convert the existing building into modern offices and a clean yard space.

2012

S&K Forming lands its first out of province project.

2015

With a solid team of skilled tradespeople and great executive team in the office, S&K Forming clarifies what it’s capable of - a full service concrete form, place, sealing and finish company. A slight tweak in the name and bold images shout out that SK FORM & FINISH Inc. is positioned to be BC interiors largest concrete forming and finishing company. SK FORM & FINISH was also the recipient of the Kelowna Chamber Business Excellence Award for best medium-sized business.

Expansion! Purchase of our neighbouring property allows us to dream about a new commercial building to house our offices, mechanics shop and a commercial kitchen to service our staff.

SK Form & Finish achieves Large COR certification. We’re serious about the safety of our staff and being Large COR certified proves it.
