We are over the top here at SK Form & Finish as we celebrate our win of the 2015 Mid-Size Business Excellence Award! We couldn’t be more excited!

The following is our acceptance speech.

We are SO grateful to be here tonight and first of all want to thank those that nominated us along with the Chamber of Commerce for this award!

It’s an honor to be here tonight…winning the mid-size Business of the Year award. Kelowna is full of great business and we consider it a blessing to work and live in this beautiful city.

Receiving an award like this causes one to reflect on how they got here…for me,  this night has its roots going way back to when I was a young girl and a concrete truck showed up to my house for the very first time. I’ll never forget how I felt when I sat in the truck as the drum turned. Who would have guessed years later, I would marry the owner’s son! 

The thread that runs throughout our 23 years of business is the conscious effort into setting the bar higher in our industry. Staying true to our company values and relying on our winning process has been a catalyst to our growth.

Another reason we're here today is because of our staff. Years ago when Angie and myself set aside a day to discuss what the future would look like if we consciously grew SK, we knew at that time we needed to hire people with gifts and strengths that were different than ours. Casting the vision and getting jobs would be the easy part. But If we were going to sustain growth, hiring the right people and building leaders within our team would be critical.

I am so proud of our leaders....Kris, Tyson, Jason, Reid, Logan and Amber. And our 26 guys out in the field who work incredibly hard in the Okanagan sun and the cold winter days.
